Holding of the Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum in Sri Lanka in 2019

- Sri Lanka is a Member of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum established relating to the field of the Local Government. The Annual General Meeting and the International Conference of this forum held once in two years provides an opportunity for sharing of the qualitative changes that take place in the Local Government sector.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Faiszer Musthapha, the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, to submit a proposal to the conference of the forum which will be held in Malta from 21st to 24th of November this year to host the Annual General Meeting of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum and the International Conference in Sri Lanka in 2019, was approved by the Cabinet.
