Promoting the sales at the Buddha Jayanthi Bookshop of the Department of Buddhist Affairs

- The concise Thripitaka publications, Buddhist Encyclopedia and other Sinhala and English Buddhist books compiled with the complements of the Department of Buddhist Affairs are sold at the Buddha Jayanthi Bookshop of the Department. Considering the importance of selling these books at a concessionary rate for the convenience of the local and foreign scholars and the readers who conduct studies on Buddhism and the Buddhist philosophy, the proposal made by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrema Perera, the Minister of Buddhasasana, to allow discounts on selected publications sold there, was approved by the Cabinet.
