Bringing back to normalcy to the prevailing shortage of Petrol in the country expeditiously - The attention of the Cabinet has been drawn to the shortage of Petrol countrywide which has caused an obstruction to the day to day activities of the General Public. As such, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, to appoint a Ministerial Sub‑Committee comprising of the following Ministers to examine and make recommendations in regard to urgent measures to be adopted to avoid the prevailing shortage of petrol, the causes which have led to such situation, the parties responsible for such occurrence and measures to avoid recurrence of such situation in future, was approved by the Cabinet. i.
