Awarding of the Contract for the Balance Construction Work of the Four Storey Building for the District Secretariat of Polonnaruwa

- The Cabinet has granted approval previously to construct a four storey building for the District Secretariat of Polonnaruwa. Accordingly, the contract for the construction of its Phase‑I had been awarded to M/s Micro Construction (Pvt.) Ltd., and the construction activities are at the level of nearing completion.

Considering the progress of the construction activities, the proposal made by Hon. Vajira Abeywardena, the Minister of Home Affairs, to award the construction of its Phase‑II over to the same company for a sum of Rs.952.90 million, excluding taxes, was approved by the Cabinet.
