Memorandum of Cooperation on the Technical Intern Training Programme between Japan and Sri Lanka

- The proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Foreign Employment, to enter into a Memorandum of Cooperation on the Technical Intern Training Programme between the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan and the Ministry of Foreign Employment of Sri Lanka with the objective of transferring high technical skills, techniques and knowledge from Japan to Sri Lanka, and exchange technical intern trainees between the two countries aimed at promoting bi‑lateral cooperation and considering the benefits derived to the migrant workers, was approved by the Cabinet.
