Procurement for the Supply and delivery of cylinder lubricating oil for Barge Mounted Power Plant

- The 60MW Barge Mounted Thermal Power Plant owned by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) consists of 4 generators. It has been estimated that 750,000 liters of cylinder lubricant oil and 175,000 liters of system lubricating oil is required for these generators for the forthcoming year. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to award the contract for the supply and distribution of lubricating oil to M/s N.M. Distributors (Pvt.) Ltd., at a sum of Rs.295.40 per litre of cylinder lubricating oil and at a sum of Rs.253.83 per litre of system lubricating oil, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
