Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

- The Republic of Korea which has achieved an incredible growth in the economic and the technical field, over the past several decades, is considered a leading country in the technology sector of the global market. As such, a proposal has been made to sign an Economic Cooperation Agreement on Investment Partnership, Trade Relations, Tourism Promotion and Industrial Cooperation etc with the Republic of Korea, and the proposal made by Hon. Malik Samarawickrema, the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, to sign the aforesaid Agreement during the official visit of H.E the President, Maithripala Sirisena, to the Republic of Korea scheduled to take place at the end of November this year, was approved by the Cabinet.
