Vesting of an additional land to provide the infrastructure facilities for the 'walk up' apartment complex at Angoda

- The 'Urban Regeneration Project' has undertaken to construct apartments to resettle the residents of the underserved settlements in the city of Colombo. By now, 6,000 apartment units have been constructed in 12 locations in the city of Colombo and its suburbs under phase I of the Project.

As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to get an additional extent of land from the adjoining state owned land vested with the Urban Development Authority to construct a sewer treatment plant for the apartment complex being constructed with 500 units in Angoda under the 'Urban Regeneration Project', was approved by the Cabinet.
