Procurement of 400,000 Nucleic Acid Testing Reagents used for Blood Tests

- The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to award the contract for the procurement of 400,000 Nucleic Acid Testing Reagents used for ensuring that the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and the Hepatitis B & C Viruses are not present in the blood donated by the blood donors to the National Blood Transfusion Service, to M/s. Apcot Marketing (Pvt) Ltd., for a sum of US$ 5.94 million, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
