National Youth Software Competition 2017 - 2019

- With a view to empowering the youth community for the purpose of creating innovative solutions to provide the benefits of the information and communication technology to everyone in the society, it has been proposed to conduct a Software Competition among youth. This project will be implemented by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) in collaboration with the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

Under this, three(03) competitions are scheduled to be held at provincial level to create software which could be used as solutions for the development challenges and the winners selected will be provided with the sponsorship to commence the relevant enterprises and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to hold the proposed Youth Software Competition during the period of 2017-2019, was approved by the Cabinet.
