Police Information & Communication System (PICS) Project

- The approval of the Cabinet has been granted for the establishment of a Police Information & Communication System (PICS) for the Sri Lanka Police. The project has been designed to be implemented from the year 2018 with the use of modern technology and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development, for the first phase to be implemented as a pilot project to cover the Western Province and based on its success the second phase of it covering the whole country, was approved by the Cabinet.
