Obtaining consultancy services for the development of the Ministry of Sports and the institutions coming under the Ministry

- Presently, the Ministry of Sports and other institutions coming under it obtains consultancy services for various development work of the Ministry and the institutions coming under the Ministry from the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB). However, it has been observed that it is desirable to obtain the services of other public institutions as well, in order to carry out the projects and the development work of the Ministry more efficiently.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, the Minister of Sports, to obtain the Consultancy Services required for construction and development activities of the Ministry and the institutions coming under the Ministry for development work, from the Government/Semi Government institutions such as the State Engineering Corporation, the Urban Development Authority, the Buildings Department, the Government Universities, the State Development & Construction Corporation, the Land Reclamation and Development Corporation of Sri Lanka and the Tri Forces inclusive of the CECB, was approved by the Cabinet.
