Obtaining Technical Assistance for implementation of the Sanitation and Hygiene Initiative for Towns (SHIFT) Project in the Southern and Western Provinces

- Sanitation and Hygiene Initiative for Towns (SHIFT) Project is implemented in the Southern and Western Provinces in Sri Lanka, with the objective of enhancing sewerage services in Negambo, Galle and Kelaniya areas and upgrading the capacity for the management of large scale sewerage systems operated by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board. The proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to award the contract for granting the relevant technical assistance to the Project Management Unit of the said project, to M/s. Egis Eau for a sum of Euro 01 million and Rs5.8 million, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Consultancy Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
