Award of contract for Phase 1 of the Anuradhapura North Water Supply Project

- The Anuradhapura North Water Supply Project is being implemented considering the necessity of providing safe drinking water to the people living in the Anuradhapura District and specially to the areas where the kidney disease is prevalent. The proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to award the contract for the supply of pipes and the required equipment necessary for Phase 1 of the Anuradhapura North Water Supply Project to the Joint Venture of M/s. Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd., and M/s. Sierra Construction (Pvt) Ltd., for a sum of Yen 1,197.46 million and LKR 1,275.75 million, without VAT, was approved by the Cabinet.
