Agreement on Economic Cooperation between Sri Lanka and Hungary

- Hungary, as a Central European country, has succeeded in showing significant performance in its foreign trade during the past decade and Sri Lanka will be able to expand its market to the countries of the European Union (EU) by strengthening its economic cooperation with Hungary. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Malik Samarawickrema, the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, with a view to increasing investments and enhancing the economic and technical cooperation, to enter into an Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the two countries, was approved by the Cabinet.
