Digitizing the Economy: 2016-2019

- Under the project of 'digitizing the economy' the Government has focused its attention on the rapid development of the digital infrastructure and connectivity and this will improve the quality of the supply of public services. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to implement 27 projects within the budgetary provisions of the year 2017, in compliance with the development strategies implemented by the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka, during the period of 2016 - 2019, was approved by the Cabinet.
