Amendments to the Commercial Mediation Centre of Sri Lanka Act, No.44 of 2000
- The Commercial Mediation Centre of Sri Lanka Act, No.44 of 2000 provides for the establishment of a Commercial Mediation Centre in Sri Lanka. There is a Board of Management for the administration and management of the affairs of the said Commercial Mediation Centre and the members are appointed to the Board to represent the relevant fields.

It has been proposed to amend the composition of the Commercial Mediation Centre of Sri Lanka, in order to enhance its performance by strengthening the coordination with the Line Agencies and representatives. As such, the proposal made by Hon. (Mrs.) Thalatha Atukorala, the Minister of Justice, to publish the Commercial Mediation Centre of Sri Lanka (Amendment) Bill which has been prepared to make provisions for the purpose, in the Government Gazette and submit the same subsequently, in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
