The development of the Tangalle Fishery Harbour as a Multipurpose Fishery Harbour Complex

- A proposal has been made to develop the Tangalle Fishery Harbour as a Multipurpose Fishery Harbour Complex used for fishery, tourism and commercial purposes. The HAE CHUN Co. LTD of the Republic of South Korea has agreed to prepare the relevant feasibility report and the design free of charge. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Amaraweera, the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development, to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the said company for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
