Creating public awareness regarding the Economic Development Process of the Government

- The Eight (08) Subsidy Loan Schemes called 'Ran Aswenna', 'Gowi Navoda', 'Riya Shakthi', 'Riwi Bala Sawi', 'Diri Sawiya', 'Jaya Isuru', 'Madya Aruna' and 'Sonduru Piyasa' introduced under the 2017 budget proposals, focusing on farmers, entrepreneurs, small and medium scale industrialists and self‑employed persons, are being successfully implemented at present. The Cabinet took note of the information submitted to the Cabinet by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance and Mass Media to the effect that the loan facilities amounting to Rs.6,517 million have been disbursed among 1,266 beneficiaries through the Government and the Private Banks by 2017.09.15 under these loan schemes,
