Award of the contract for the supply and distribution of the Aerial Bundle Conductors

- The Ceylon Electricity Board procures the required items separately for the distribution regions for the maintenance activities pertaining to the distribution and new electricity connections. Accordingly, competitive bids have been called for, for the supply and distribution of aerial bundle conductors to a length of (ABC) 3x70+54.6 sqmm (4 core)- 700 km for the four (04) distribution regions. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to award the contract for the said supply and distribution to M/s. Sierra Cables PLC Ltd., the lowest substantially responsive bidder for a sum of Rs.363.7 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
