Securing of supplementary financial assistance for the completion of the construction work of the Mahamodara Maternity Hospital, Galle

- The Government of Germany has agreed to provide further financial assistance required for the completion of the construction work of the Mahamodara Maternity Hospital, Galle which was damaged by the Tsunami disaster. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to negotiate and enter into a loan Agreement with the KfW (Kerditanstalt Fur Weideraufbau) Bank of Germany to secure the supplementary loan facility up to Euro 13 million required for the completion of these development activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
