Tentative Programme for the Budget Debate for the Financial Year 2018

- Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, presented the tentative programme for the Budget Debate for the Financial Year 2018 to the Cabinet and the Cabinet noted same.

Accordingly, the budget speech for the financial year 2018 will be delivered on 09th November 2017 and it has been planned to conduct the Parliamentary Debate on the Second Reading of the Appropriation Bill on 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th and 15th November 2017, to commence its Committee Stage Debate on 2017-11-16 and to conduct the vote of the Third Reading of the Appropriation Bill on 2017-12-09.
