Procurement of Liquefied Petroleum Gas required for the Litro Gas Lanka Ltd.

- The LP Gas required to be distributed by the Litro Gas Lanka Ltd., which is the largest LP Gas supplier of the country with a 80% market share is purchased by the International Competitive Bidding Procedure. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Kabir Hashim, the Minister of Public Enterprise Development, for the purchase of 300,000 MT of LP Gas required for the said company for the year 2017 - 2018 from M/s. Shell International Eastern Trading Company for the Saudi Aramco Contract Price plus US$ 47.50 per MT of LP Gas, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
