Construction of new Academic Buildings for the University of Colombo and Ruhuna

- The proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the contract for the construction of the Information and Learning Centre at the Faculty of Science in the University of Colombo to M/s. Sanken Construction (Pvt) Ltd., for a sum of Rs.516.54 million and the construction of the Second Phase in the Building Complex of the Faculty of Management and Finance in the University of Ruhuna to M/s. MTD Construction (Pvt) Ltd., for a sum of Rs.198.02 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
