Establishment of a Social Innovation Lab

- It has been proposed to establish a Social Innovation Lab as a methodology to examine the effectiveness of the Government Policies, prior to their implementation. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Susil Premajayantha, the Minister of Science, Technology and Research, to implement the proposed Social Innovation Lab as a pilot project at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research, with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), aimed at formulating effective policies as well as a vibrant and productive public service delivery through stability of policies, was approved by the Cabinet.
