Carrying out a feasibility study on the Greater Vavuniya Water Supply Project

- It has been proposed to implement the Greater Vavuniya Water Supply Project with the main objective of providing safe drinking water to the people living in the Vavuniya Divisional Secretary's Division and the Vavuniya South and Cheddikulam where people have been severely affected with the Chronic Kidney Disease.

The information submitted to the Cabinet by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply to the effect that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the National Water Supply and Drainage Board and the M/s China National Complete Plant Import and Export Corporation Limited (COMPLANT) to carry out a feasibility study in regard to the implementation of the project was noted by the Cabinet.
