Development of selected hospitals in the Northern Province

- A project to develop selected hospitals in the Northern Province has been proposed with the objective of providing qualitative health service to the people in the Northern Province and to further upgrade the health infrastructure facilities in the resettled areas. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to develop the District General Hospitals of Killinochchi, Mannar and Vavuniya and the Base Hospitals of Point-Pedro and Mankulam, with the financial assistance of the Government of Netherlands and the financial provision from the Consolidated Fund, was approved by the Cabinet.
