Installation of a Roof Mounted Solar Power System in the Navy General Hospital, Welisara (Colombo)

- The major hospital belonging to the Sri Lanka Navy is the hospital at the Welisara Naval Complex which comprises of 200 beds. As such, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to install a 450 Kw Grid Tie Roof Mounted Solar Power System linked to the National Electricity Transmission Network, with a view to mitigating the high cost spent for the electricity in maintaining this hospital, was approved by the Cabinet.
