Prevention of Forest Reserves from wild fire and provision of water for the Wild Animals due to the severe drought prevailing

- Due to the prevailing severe drought in Sri Lanka the wild animals are subject to a great distress and the wild fire that occur in the forest reserves has paused a threat of loosing their habitats. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Gamini Jayawickrema Perera, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Wildlife to provide 10 tractor water bowsers to the Department of Wildlife Conservation, to protect the forest reserves from fire and to supply the water required for the wild animals, was approved by the Cabinet.
