Award of the contract for the construction of a new bridge across the Kelani river

- The proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways to award the contract for the construction of a bridge 380 meters in length with 6 lanes and its access roads for a sum of Rs.9,896 million as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
