Management of the price decline in pepper

- The farmers engaged in pepper cultivation have faced various difficulties due to the decline in the price of pepper in the local and international markets. Therefore, with the objective of ensuring the security of the livelihood and the revenue of the farmers engaged in pepper cultivation, the Cabinet decided to appoint a Ministerial Sub‑Committee headed by the Hon. Minister of Finance and Mass Media comprising of Hon. Minister of Primary Industries; Disaster Management; Development Strategies and International Trade; Industry and Commerce; and Irrigation and Water Resources Management, as its members to study the matter and submit a Report to the Cabinet without any delay.
