Financial Assistance for the Implementation of the Wind Power Generation Project

- The Asian Development Bank has agreed to provide US$ 200 million out of the sum of US$ 256.7 million required for the implementation of the Wind Power Generation Project with the objective of enhancing clean power generation and reliable power supply on concessionary conditions. The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to enter into the relevant loan agreements to obtain the funds, was approved by the Cabinet.
