Narahenpita New Town Development Project - Kirimandala Mawatha

- In accordance with the new Development Plan prepared by the Urban Development Authority, it is envisaged to develop the area in the close proximity of the Kirimandala Mawatha, Narahenpita, Colombo into a sustainable township fully equipped with residential, commercial, recreational and entertainment activities and public utilities. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to utilize the lands occupied by various Government Institutions in the area to implement the said Development Plan and to allocate alternative lands in lieu of the said lands to the relevant institutions from other areas, was approved by the Cabinet.
