Balance construction work of the four storey building constructed for the District Secretariat in Polonnaruwa

- The construction work of Phase I of the four storey building constructed for the District Secretariat in Polonnaruwa is to be completed before the end of this year and to coincide with same, the construction work of Phase II of the project has to be commenced expeditiously. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Vajira Abeywardena, the Minister of Home Affairs to award the contract for the construction work of Phase II, taking into consideration the necessity to bring the various divisions of the District Secretariat of Polonnaruwa presently functioning in several locations, under one roof, was approved by the Cabinet.
