Purchase of Water Bowsers for the Local Authorities of the Eastern Province

- Supply of drinking water through bowsers has been found as a short term solution for supply of safe drinking water to the people resided in remote areas in the dry zone which constantly subject to droughts and which do not come under a proper water supply system. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply to purchase 23 water bowsers for the Local Authorities in the Eastern Province for the purpose, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
