Obtaining Consultancy Services to implement the Disaster Management Process in Sri Lanka more efficiently and effectively

- The tendency for natural calamities has been increased due to climatic changes and concurrently the man made disasters are also increasing. Therefore, the need for a long term plan has arisen for the management of these disaster situations efficiently and effectively. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, the Minister of Disaster Management, to appoint an Expert Committee comprising of experts in the field, under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Disaster Management to get the necessary advice, was approved by the Cabinet.
