Modernization of the Jaya Container Terminal of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority

- The capacity of the Jaya Container Terminal which is fully owned and operated by the Sri Lanka Port Authority has to be modernized expeditiously in order to accommodate large ships. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe, the Minister of Ports and Shipping, to implement the modernization work of Phase V of the terminal, was approved by the Cabinet.
