Conducting of international level training courses and workshops by the Irrigation Training Institute

- It has been observed that there is a possibility of building up an international demand for short term training courses in respect of the development which existed with the system of irrigational civilization of Sri Lanka and the allied subjects. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Vijith Vijayamuni Zoysa, the Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources Management, to provide the necessary facilities and to design an administrative and financial methodology to conduct international level training courses at the Kotmale International Training Institute for Irrigation and Water Management (KTI-IWM) and the Galgamuwa Irrigation Training Institute with the collaboration of the institutions like the International Irrigation and Water Management Institute and the International Water Centre, was approved by the Cabinet.
