Awarding of a new house as the super prize in 'Sevana' Lottery Draw

- In addition to the 'Sevana' instant Lottery conducted by the National Lotteries Board, another Lottery draw named 'Sevana' has been released to the market to coincide to the National Housing Day which fell on 2017‑06‑23 and its maiden draw is due to be held on 2017‑07‑27. As the super prize of this draw, it has been proposed to award a new house with all modern facilities from a suburb of Colombo or close to another urban area.

Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Foreign Affairs to purchase new houses from an institution recommended by the Ministry of Housing and Construction and the National Housing Development Authority to be awarded as prices, and to make the relevant contribution of the sales revenue of this Lottery to the Sevana Trust Fund, was approved by the Cabinet.
