Awarding of contracts for the new buildings to be constructed at Universities

- The proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways to award the contracts pertaining to the following construction projects in accordance with the recommendation of the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet:

* construction of a six story building for the Department of Statistical Sciences of the Faculty of Science of the University of Colombo.

* construction of a building complex for the Lecture Theatre for the Faculty of Science of the University of Kelaniya.

* construction of buildings for the Faculty of Technology of the University of Sri Jayawardenapura.
