Construction of quarters for the officers of the National Police Academy, Katana

- In the National Police Academy of Katana, five training courses are conducted daily with the objective of enhancing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the Police personnel and around 250 officers take part in them. The officers engaged in the administrative activities of the said training courses have to be provided with accommodation facilities and therefore, 11 quarters have to be constructed for the purpose. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Sagala Ratnayake, the Minister of Law & Order and Southern Development to initiate the construction activities of the project for the construction of the said quarters utilizing the provision set apart for the year 2017, was approved by the Cabinet.
