Issuing of Title Deeds for the houses constructed under the Estate Housing Projects

- The 'New Life Housing Programme' and the 'Green Gold Housing Programme' have been implemented since the year 2010 for the construction of houses for the plantation sector community and 1,122 houses and 1,742 houses have been constructed, respectively up to the year 2016 and given over to the plantation sector community. Initial steps have already been taken to construct a further 2,000 houses under the 'Green Gold Housing Programme' and another 1,134 houses to be constructed under the Indian Grant Housing Programme. Since there is a Cabinet decision to grant a land in extent of 07 perches for the construction of houses with more facilities with a view to enhancing the life standard of the plantation sector community, the proposal made by Hon. U. Palani Digambaram, the Minister of Hill Country New Villages, Infrastructure and Community Development to issue Title Deeds to cover the Estate Houses constructed and given over under the 'New Life Housing Programme' and the 'Green Gold Housing Programme' implemented from 2010 up to 2016, as well, was approved by the Cabinet.
