Bilateral Cooperation with the Russian Federation on Technology and Innovation

- In accordance with the agreements reached during the recent State Visit of H.E. the President to Russia and the collaborative initiatives made with the relevant institutions by the Minister of Science, Technology and Research, it is due to improve further the national capabilities in space technology and the currently on going initiatives for development, between the two countries. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Susil Premajayantha, the Minister of Science, Technology and Research to conduct short term training programmes for the improvement of human resource capacity development in the fields of Aerospace Technology, Space Technology and Applications, Robotics and Bio‑Medical Engineering and to implement a Post Degree programme with a view to providing opportunities for the Sri Lankan Engineers and Scientists, was approved by the Cabinet.
