Implementing the Projects for the development of the Infrastructure facilities of the Universities

- The proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to implement 14 projects for the development of infrastructure facilities at the Universities of Peradeniya, Rajarata, Sri Jayawardenapura, Sabaragamuwa, Jaffna, Wayamba and the Open University, with a view to enhancing the space and facilities available in the Universities, in order to increase the annual intake of students and providing the necessary facilities to the present students, at an estimated cost of Rs.7,640.23 million to be implemented within the period of 2018 - 2020, was approved by the Cabinet.
