Construction of the Headquarters of the Department of Civil Security

- The need has been identified for the construction of a suitable building for the Department of Civil Security which is now being housed in a rented out building in the Bambalapitiya area. A block of land of 01Acre in extent has been obtained for the purpose from the Moratuwa area and as such, the proposal made by H.E. the President, Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to obtain a Treasury Grant of Rs.42 million to construct the Headquarters of the above department with the use of the Manpower of the Civil Security Cadre, was approved by the Cabinet.
