Construction of an Accident & Emergency Treatment Unit and a Simulation Centre at the Colombo East (Mulleriyawa) Base Hospital

- It has been proposed to establish an Accident & Emergency Treatment Unit and a Simulation Centre at the Colombo East (Mulleriyawa) Base Hospital to prevent disabilities and deaths caused by accidents by providing easily accessible high standards quality care. National competitive bids have been called for to select a suitable contractor for the construction of this Unit and in response 13 bidders have presented their bids. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to award the contract to M/s. Link Engineering Limited, the lowest evaluated substantially responsive bidder as per the recommendations of the Technical Evaluation Committee which evaluated the bids and the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
