Western Province Road Development Project - Award of the contract for the Development and rehabilitation of the Wadduwa - Moronthuduwa road (B449) and Bellana - Moragala road (B544)

- International Competitive Bidding has been called for, with the objective of finding a suitable contractor for the development and rehabilitation of a road section of 5.3 km in the Wadduwa - Moronthuduwa road (B449) and a road section of 9.8 km on Bellana - Moragala road (B544) implemented with the funds provided for by the OPEC Fund for International Development and in response, 08 bids have been received. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to award the contract to the Maga Engineering (Pvt) Limited, the lowest successful bidder as per the recommendations of the Technical Evaluation Committee which evaluated the bids and the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
