Implementation of development projects by the Urban Development Authority (UDA) with the Treasury funds

- The Urban Development Authority has planned to implement 6 major development projects utilizing the funds set a part to the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development by the Budget 2017, under the 6 major projects. In this respect, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to implement under 3 major projects, exceeding a sum of Rs.20 million, under which 39 sub projects namely, 13 projects under the project component of the Urban Development Authority, 16 projects under the Provincial Urban Development Projects and 10 projects for the Township Development and Urbanized Waste Management with the Treasury Funds, was approved by the Cabinet.
