Establishment of a Competent Public Service with an accomplished Environment of Ethical Standards

- A new Public Service Culture has to be created with characteristics of the principles of good governance, the Citizen Focus Service and High Qualitative Service and Management which could be accountable for results, in order to keep pace with the Modern Day Competition and the rapidly changing complex challenges. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, for the implementation of the Common Competency Framework in respect of the Public Sector Employees of Sri Lanka proposed by the National Human Resources Development Council (NHRDC) of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), the Department of Management Services, the Ministry of Public Administration and Management, the Public Service Commission and the Management Faculty of the University of Colombo, was approved by the Cabinet.
