Revision of the Assistance Agreement for Strengthened Partnership for Democratic Reform & Social Integration signed with the United States of America

- The Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs implements the Assistance Agreement for Strengthened Partnership for Democratic Reform & Social Integration together with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development. The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs to sign the agreement, with a revision to increase the contribution of US$ 22.70 million agreed upon for the implementation of this programme, in the year 2016 to around US$ 26.30 million by a further contribution of around US$ 3.6 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
